Alright, so I'm a little bit pissed here. My signature got deleted when I MADE sure that it was in limits. I thought I hadn't saved the picture and I was looking all over for it and couldn't find it., It shouldn't have been deleted in the first place and I know this isn't something to get upset over, cause I am. I just went into freaking out cause I couldn't find my pic, only to realize I actually had saved it. Why was it deleted? I'll even give up the dimensions: 450px X 260px That's well in the range of the original picture. Help.. D: It seems like they're making a lot of bad calls on this... Whipping through so quickly, I can understand where there's room for misjudgement but perhaps focus should be less on the tiny little 10 or so pixel difference and focus more on the signatures that are like 600 pixels high?

We have been. And it's not for JUST one image, but the entire area you have to work with. We let a few pixels slide here and there.

But I only had one image in my signature. o-o;; It's 257 high x 320 wide... that's waaaaay within the limits. By a lot more than just a few pixels... I didn't even have any text in my siggy. o-o

Oh hey I was wondering what happened to my sig. It was in limits. Guess you guys auto wiped us all huh? I don't have the energy to put them back up right now.
yet I liked my motivational, cheering upping pics. that were both tiny. so possibly tommorrow. *shrugs*

Silent moon- I'm not sure why but i really love your Avatar.. I could stare at for days! - Actually, people shouldn't really get mad at this rule. Think of the people with Dial-up (yes, there still are some.) that sit at the Thread. waiting. for EVERYONES signatures to load? Belive me, Dial up Is slow. I was once showing a friend my cave on her comp - took over 2 hours to load. now.. the wajas, uh, that doesn't matter but.. -hides number- this Is a great rule -.. I think there should be a "Disable" Signatures area, because i really hate all the stupid little Images on the posts. :x

this Is a great rule -.. I think there should be a "Disable" Signatures area, because i really hate all the stupid little Images on the posts. :x There is a way to disable signatures when viewing. Click Profile on the menu up at the top, then click Modify Profile. Scroll down to the Account Preferences section. Where it says "Show Signatures:" choose No on the drop down menu and you will never see another signature on this forum so long as you are logged in. And I agree with this rule; I was seeing some signatures that had to be 500+ pixels tall and that's just way too big for a signature.

I do support having the shorter signature requirements, my ONLY problem with the rule is about why it is deleting members that were well within the requirements.
I think some of the mods have to check the requirements again, because they're not following them. @.@
And almostinsane - yeah. That's everybody. It's addictive, and that's why I put it as my avvie. Nobody can stop watching it. XD Great way to spend a large quantity of your downtime time. ^^
Oh, and as for dial-up, if they don't want to see the signatures, as Ori said, there's a preference not to. So really, they don't have to wait on it. They can even not see avvies, reducing the only pictures in the thread to the pictures in the posts themselves.
So it's not so much the presence of images itself, but the size of them that some people have in comparison to most.

I only just learnt about the ability to turn off signatures/avvies/pics. Seeing this new rule kinda prompted me to put a siggy up and such. Haha.

Would anybody possibly mind explaining to me how to *resize* a picture? It's the third time i've had my signature removed today, and the third time i posted it, i made *sure* it was within the limits. T.T
also... >.>
whoever sent me the pm about having an "obnoxious color of text" for the HELP THREAD i was running, you can keep your opinions to yourself please. the Rudeness was not necessary. It's an "obnoxious" color so people can notice it before they post the same question 13 other people *just* got done asking. It was *not* meant to be aesthetically pleasing to everyone >.> (and besides *sniffle* orange is one of my favorite colors).

I come here for the text and discussions. Unfortunately because some people post the same images over and over (in signatures) I use the image blocking feature of my browser to block images out from their image server. This ends up blocking all images from that domain semi-permanently. Which is bad because it ends up 'punishing' the people who post images that pertain to a discussion, like waja markings, etc. if they happen to host their images on the same site as the people who overuse them in signatures, because now their images are blocked from my view, too.
If I 'had my way' there just wouldn't be images in signatures. There aren't on the Wajas forums and it works out pretty good.
I know that there are people who will disagree with me about this and I respect your right to disagree.

Ooh! nevermind :-D i fixed it! ^.^ (i found the generic way to do it XD) and don't anyone *dare* say it's not within the limits, because i created the *whole* thing in a layer over the image on the front page, then erased that ;-) <3

Yay! *dances* I hate large signatures.
I made a new one just for the occasion of the signature restriction.
The symbol in it is the Ohm symbol.
